Torquemada for EFA#14

Torquemada for EFA#14, originally uploaded by Graeme Neil Reid.

So this was my contribution (apart from the cover that is) to the very last issue of 'Eagle Flies Again' a very fine magazine celebrating the 80s Eagle comic and British comics in general. It has suddenly been forced to finish by the current holders of the Dan Dare licence for reasons I won't be going into here but you can still buy back issues and of course this issue by going to www.downthetubes.net and finding the link on that page (its on the right at the moment).

As mentioned I did the cover to this issue which also runs articles on the short lived 80s comic 'Scream' a particular favourite of mine at the time. I think I posted a small section of the cover a good time ago so maybe I'll get around to posting the actual cover soon/next.

The brief for this picture was asking various writers and artists who their favourite British Comic Book Character was and although that really is an impossible task to answer because I could have easily said Judge Dredd, Dan Dare, Doomlord, Desperate Dan, Oor Wullie and many others I picked a real nasty character in Torquemada from the Nemesis the Warlock series from 2000AD. He such a cad :)
