Sarah Jane Smith

Another sketch for Hi-Ex! and its the Doctor's companion Sarah Jane Smith. If you are a fan of Doctor Who and haven't yet watched the Sarah Jane Adventures on CBBC then go to the BBC iPlayer and watch some now. I'll confess to only just getting around to watching it myself but of course when it was originally on I was busy at work and so missed it.

You can currently see repeats on Sunday afternoon's in the UK where two episodes are joined together to make a 'Who' length episode. They really are rather good, stories are great, acting is good, effects are good and the children characters (teens) are not in the least annoying. It really is good, so go and watch it.

This is not the first time I've drawn Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane and the last time was also a pencil drawing done for a book of short stories. This time her Doctor was none other that Jon Pertwee and we see them using the cutting edge of technology the telephone to keep in contact!

Archer & Batman

More pencil sketches for next February's Hi-Ex! convention in Inverness. The eagle eyed will notice that I've broken from the normal layout for the Batman sketch and the even more eagle eyed will have spotted why. I drew this sketch in May 2007 long before I even knew I'd be drawing sketches for Hi-Ex!, I came across this Batman drawing the other day and reckoned somebody might like it so its been added to the pile (even if it does break the standard set layout!).
